The Brownstown Downtown Development Authority sponsored a Business before Breakfast seminar today. It was hosted at the Henry Ford Health Center in Brownstown. The guest speaker was Emily Hay of Hay There Social Media. Emily educated the audience about how to navigate social media. She helped those attending to understand the value of utilizing social media and she shared her insight and best practices to make sure business are not wandering aimlessly through social media outlets.
The room was packed with local business owners, entrepreneurs and employees from business all around Brownstown.
Vern Gustafsson, Assistant Director of the Brownstown DDA said, “This event is the first in a series of Business before Breakfast seminars that we will be sponsoring. Emily Hay was the perfect speaker to have for our inaugural event. She energized the audience and educated them with her knowledge of social media and how it can help businesses grow.”
The cost of admission was a donation to Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital’s Yes Ma’am charity which provides mammograms for working uninsured women in the downriver area. $340 was raised at the event.
