Brownstown Business Expo 2014 and Taste of Brownstown!
Great success despite frigid temperatures
Brownstown, Michigan – The weather outside was frightful but the crowds still came out for the Brownstown Business Expo and the Taste of Brownstown!
The event was held at the new Brownstown Event Center on King Road on Thursday, January 23rd and hosted by the Brownstown DDA. The organizers were concerned that the cold temperatures might keep the crowds away but that was not the case. A steady stream of customers occupied the new Event Center from 2pm to 7pm. The total number attending was over 300 visitors.
Besides admiring the new building, the people in attendance favorite exhibitors were the restaurants in the Taste of Brownstown area. Those restaurants included Sammy’s Cucina, Big Bear Lodge, Piper’s Restaurant, Olympic Coney Island, Frank-n-Dean’s Catering and Bearclaw Coffee. Each establishment gave out free samples of their delectable dishes.
Many other area businesses were there to give valuable information and showcase their businesses. These businesses ranged from Beltone Hearing Center of Brownstown, Greater Detroit Auto Auction and Rodgers Chevrolet. Each one had a unique giveaway item and raffles prizes for those in attendance.
The Brownstown DDA is planning another Business Expo for this summer. Having the event during the warmer months will provide for more businesses to attend. There will be a tented area outside to include about 30 more vendors.
